Introduction

Walking down the street under an overcast sky, you pass an enclosed archway and blink. There was a strange twist in the very fabric of reality. Sunlight shines on a wild lawn. The sward is dotted with the colourful heads of a myriad of flowers. Only stars shine overhead, clearer, brighter and nearer than any you have ever seen. You see neither a sun nor a moon.

Surveying the landscape, the geometry and angles seem to be strangely different from earthly standards in a surprisingly pleasant way. A house of red brick with a thatched roof rises out of the plain in the distance. You cannot be sure at this distance, but aren't there... Weren't you standing further away from the house a moment before? Now you can see curtains in the windows and smoke curling from the chimney covered in shingles of dark granite.

It seems for a moment that the house is far more solid, than its quaint style suggests. Then you are overcome by curiosity. Who lives in this strange place? Before the thought is fully conscious in your mind, you find yourself in front of the door, which has the same odd angles as everything in this house. It should not be capable of opening, but your hands the doorknob in the expected place. Silently the door opens. After another moment of hesitation, you cross the sill.

The interior seems tidy, pleasantly bright from the light shining through the windows and too spacious to fit into the house you just entered. Your eyed are drawn to an attractive person of the other gender, whose appearance you are unable to remember. Sitting on a large couch, the person has a lute in its hands and plays on it unconsciously. You are addressed by a gentle and melodious voice: "I am the mystical old Bard. Welcome to my humble home worthy traveller."

A weird house

You think my house is strange?
Maybe dimensionally impossible, strangely bent and twisted?
You are right, because where we are,
geometry and even dimensions as you know them have no meaning.

Somewhere far beyond time,
far beyond space.
In a place as new as the blink of an eye,
and as old as the multiverse.

Words Of Warning

If my english words fail,
the fault is mine to bear.
From strange lands you may hail,
When these tales you will hear.

If your narrow mind fails,
Hit the wall with your head.
Maybe here it will bite,
Eat your skull. You are dead.
